Life has been crazy in the last few months and by that I mean crazy. Since July I have done the following:
1. Completed my first grit OCR challenge (the corn maze and the timed event).
2. Ran a Spartan sprint and a hurricane heat in the same day (burpees with bricks).
3. Ran the seawheeze half marathon and then hopped on a Bolt Bus to Seattle to run a full tough mudder the next day.
4. Ran my first ever terrain race OCR and completed five laps.
I’m quite proud of all my athletic accomplishments as it goes to show what having a good coach can do for you. I didn’t get injured, super sick and finished each race safely 🙂 it was an epic summer / fall racing season. I was super glad for the race season to be over as it gave me a chance to scale back and work on my goals for 2019.
I’m not sharing all of this to brag about how far I have come but to show you all that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. The races made me think about what’s next in 2019 and pushed me towards taking an even bigger risk.
I will do my best to update this blog more (as it’s been a little neglected), but am going to focus more this year on living the memories instead of writing everything down.
Happy New Years all!!
